After serving for five years as a federal agent for U.S. Treasury's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and later graduating from Yale Law School, where she was editor of the school's law journal, attorney Christine Saverda Nielson began her legal practice in 1991.

She worked first as an attorney for large and mid-sized law firms, concentrating on federal and state trial practice, corporate and business litigation, family law and personal injury.
